Becoming A Mother, This Crazy Dynamic Love Forever Changes You.

It changes your life in more ways than you can ever expect. It’s crazy when you hold them in your arms for the first time. Your heart aches with great love. A love that would rage against oceans, cross mountains, and move the stars for this tiny human. This little piece of you.

Becoming a mother changed me in so many ways. I cannot even count them. I’ve never known a greater more dynamic love. My son has changed me for the better.

However hard parenting is, it is also the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.

The first years I struggled a lot with the change, the neediness, the lack of sleep, the temper tantrums in the threenager years challenged me to the core. My ability to choose patience & calm in the midst of the crazy. But let me tell you, five was a page turner! I have either grown enough that I don’t struggle as much as the first years, or he has simply arrived at a glorious age. lol.

I mean he’s still insanely willful and I always have to remind myself that compliant children don’t change the world. His willfulness is strength in some ways. And a sign to me that I don’t control him, I am molding him, teaching him. There is this balancing act of showing him how to listen, obey, and choose wisely, and then allowing him to be his own self and how to make choices without me imposing them.

It’s rough, but guys it’s crazy wonderful. Becoming A mother, this crazy dynamic love forever changes you.

I can’t wait for this love to ravish and create you as a stronger, more beautiful, and wiser person. I know it probably did the second you held him in your arms. Parenting is going to grow you both, create a deeper love, and a bigger adventure! I’m so excited to be along for the journey.
