Sweet Family Mini Session At The Garden

How cute are all these sweet red heads? I can’t even believe the gorgeous bright shade of reds! I am so in love with this spur of the moment 30-minute sweet session because the kids were simply amazing. It is still a shock to me how well behaved and excited they were to take the photos.

I do pretty well with kids because I take a little time before my shoots to get on their level and get to know them a little. I help them feel involved in the process and I let them feel some control! Now that I am a mom I’m much better with photographing littles. It doesn’t always work but taking the time to help kiddos feel comfortable before a shoot will go a long way. Oh and the ability to shoot SUPER fast! It was about 100 degrees out, so fast is good!

I met Lisa through throwing a baby shower for a mutual friend April and we were instant friends. Besides the fact that she’s an amazing mother and beautiful inside and out, we simply connected on a deeper level. It’s always a gift and a joy to me to make new friends. It’s even better when I have the honor of photographing their families. I love working with friends because it’s so personal and exciting to capture their lives.
