Tiny Dancer What is Lifestyle Photography Anyways? It’s a perfect title for Amilia’s 5 year portraits. Because pretty much all she did during our session was dance and she’s still so tiny and adorable! She’s really growing up fast but she’s always dancing and singing. I am all to glad to capture her spirit -That’s exactly what I do as a lifestyle photographer.

As a lifestyle photographer my goal is to capture the essence and spirit of my clients.

I’m not sure how familiar with the word” lifestyle photographer” you are. But in simple words it’s a style of photography focused on capturing peoples portraits in real -life events or situations. The purpose is to tell the story of peoples lives or inspire people.

It’s a far cry from the tradition” portrait” and it’s taking on speed in the current culture. Yet, it’s very different than what photography was just 15 years ago. Lifestyle Photography for me means, I try to story tell, capture milestone and life events in a stylized carefree and authentic way. All the while inspiring others to live their lives to the fullest.

This doesn’t mean I don’t pose my clients. Quite to the contrary. I totally place my clients into the scene in a flattering light and angle. Then I let the roll play so to speak. I encourage my clients to snuggle, laugh, walk and talk to each other NOT just look at the camera and smile.

Simply because I can capture your spirit and relationship when you are focused on each other. Especially if you can trust me to pay attention to the best light and flattering angles that capture you as you are but are beautiful and printable moments.

It’s been a pleasure to be Amilia and Ali’s lifestyle photographer for 5 years now. I’ve capture baby portraits, mama daughter moments, milestones, and even Ali’s wedding and engagement story.
