Steeped In Tradition An Intimate Desert Botanical Garden Wedding

I’m so happy people are still getting married!
They are definitely looking different. More small intimate weddings have been the norm for my business over the past two years. Sure there have been a few large weddings but mostly intimate weddings are in!
The same goes for this couple. they choose to have a small intimate wedding at the Desert Botanical Garden… and I mean who wouldn’t want that? The Desert Botanical Garden is a heaven on earth! And keeping your wedding small means less stress for sure!
Also hosting a small intimate wedding gives more focus to the things the couples loves… like delicious food & tradition!
This couple put a lot of thought into their catering and it was so super yummy and a total experience in and of itself! They had stations during cocktail hour and amazing o’dourves then dinner was a whole line of stations including a make your own guacamole experiencE! That was my favorite! they used the Herb Garden as their specific venue spot within the garden and made a great use out of the space for all of the stations and flipping the ceremony into a reception was a breeze.
This other thing I mentioned about this wedding and even in the title of the blog was “steeped in tradition”
I want to call out some unique and special traditions that were a huge part of this wedding that you might not notice just from looking at the photos.
The bride carried heirloom photos of loved ones on her bouquet,
she wore a dime in her shoe that had been worn by so many before her AND

Braedon and Lindsay were married on the family ceremony rug!

I even suggested doing the flat-lay ring photos ON the rug to really give this wedding the tradition vibes it so deserved.
Being a part of Braedon & Lindsay’s special day was meaningful to me- I might have teared up during the ceremony. haha. I really loved getting to know thier wonderful supportive families and friends, and I loved every minute of the day. I am so honored when couples ask me to be a part of thier wedding. A photographer truly is SO much more than a photographer. I understand you have to trust us and know that we want to be there, want to love you and support you.
I do! Truely for each and every one of my couples.
Thanks for trusting me and congratulations!!!
