Garden Of the Gods Destination Family Photographer

Ummm hello Colorado again!

While I was in Denver last week to photograph my friend Stephanie’s wedding (stay tuned on my blog because I’ll be posting that amazing wedding here soon), one of her lifelong friends booked me for a family session while I was there! So we stayed an extra day and made an adventure out of it!

And it was the best adventure ever! We headed out to the Garden Of The Gods for the coolest destination family session on my books yet!

This whole family spells adventure! We climbed and hiked and played and chased the sun. It was really so incredibly fun. These kids are also insanely good at photos! Both of them were all about posing & smiling and adventuring. I couldn’t be happier!

The sun wasn’t our best friend during this shoot (which led up to a storm the next day that delayed our flights home for 7 hours!!! haha).

It was so strangely overcast, even when the sun was attempting to come out there was a super odd haze making things tough! But we are the luckiest because if you scroll you will see at the very end at the best lookout point the sun came out for real!

Now this family gets to have a wide range of editing styles/lighting! We have everything from moody to sunny in just one 2 hour session! The sun, direction I shoot, wardrobe, and scenery makes this shoot! (Actually these elements make everything about every shoot!)

So not the longest blog ever, but I’m gearing up for another trip out to California and I’m dying to share these and a few other shoots before I go! So sorry I’m not really clever or offering any real advise in this post… but it’s just too cute NOT to share!
