Arizona Lifestyle Photographer

Trying to decide if you want lifestyle Or studio portraits for your family?
Maybe you are not even sure what “lifestyle†photography means. In the past studio was the only option for family photos. But this lifestyle approach is up and coming still. I’ve been featuring this style of photography since I graduated from film school in 2006. Now I have offered studio work upon request but it’s never my go to.

Trusty wikipedia states:
Lifestyle photography is a kind of photography that mainly aims to capture portrait/people in situations, real-life events or milestones in an artistic manner and the art of the everyday. The primary goal is to tell stories about people’s lives or to inspire people in different times.
I COULD NOT SAY THIS BETTER! It’s a perfect description of exactly what I do!

Donna ( of Bridal Beauty and Beyond) and her family have done studio portraits in the past. However, after meeting me at the bridal show and following me on Instagram for the past year, she decided lifestyle was the way she wanted to go! And I am SO glad. She’s delightful and meeting her family was wonderful!
I feel like it’s so much easier to capture my client’s personalities and essence out and about in town or nature.
Especially when it comes to kids. I get a lot more journalistic images than I can get in the studio. It’s less stuffy and restrictive. It’s a much more natural environment so it goes to say I’ll have more natural expressions. Everyone feels more relaxed when I’m simply capturing everything that is happening.
Sure studio has a certain look and a controlled lighting environment but I love lifestyle SO much more!
