This blog feature is about Second Chances at Love and it features A Downtown Phoenix Engagement Session!
As a photographer I am privileged to be invited into peoples stories and lives. And I am so honored when my clients take the time to share their stories with me. And even further when they give me permission to share their stories of hope and love with my audience.!
It takes courage and vulnerability to put yourself out there to the world. I am VERY grateful to Casey and Jim for sharing their second chance at love and marriage story with me and allowing me to share it with you.
I hope that you are encouraged and joyful for these two as they embark on a new life together! Leave some love and stay tuned for photos this fall featuring their Sedona elopement!

From Casey ” Sharing a story that pulled me out of the darkest time of my life “
This marriage will be a second for Jim and me. Jim was married for 14 years to his first wife and has one daughter who is 15 years old. Jim and his wife drifted apart over time and ultimately decided to divorce. They remain amazing co-parents for their sweet daughter. I was married just shy of 10 years to my first husband. We have 3 beautiful children – a 14 year old girl, and 12 year old twins, a boy and girl. After years of trial in my marriage from multiple affairs from my husband, my children’s father and I sadly decided to end our marriage. For me, this was devastating.
A friend called me a year and a half after my marriage ended and asked to set me up with someone. Reluctantly I agreed. Jim and I quickly found that we had more than a few things in common. We both grew up in very strong, faithful families. Both of our parents have been married for more than 40 and 50 years respectively. Jim and I work in similar professions, in neuro-rehab. And we were both looking for a partner who would love us unconditionally, the way we deserved to be loved, with all our gifts and flaws. Jim and I both very much believe in marriage. We believe in serving one another through a partnership of love, patience, kindness. And given that we each have children and wonderful co-parents in our lives, we believe in serving our children by example, to teach them how to love and be kind, despite adversity. Never did I imagine that real love could feel so full of happiness. Jim is my best friend and I his. After 5 years together, I cannot wait to join with our children and become his wife in the fall.Â

“Thank you for capturing our happily ever after. I never imagined doing this again after the hurt of my first marriage. But I wouldn’t change a thing knowing that it brought me to where we are today. I’m the luckiest woman to marry the most amazing, loving man.”
