Adventures of Parenthood A Scorpion Gulch Maternity Shoot

I don’t even know how to write this blog! Between the blood red/orange sun that decided to show up on this maternity shoot day and the love I have for Kim and Daniel to embark on parenthood, this is a good one!

It’s been such a wonderful adventure getting to know this couple. We met a few years ago and instantly became friends for life!

I have had such a good time shooting all their special moments and I’m so honored and excited to continue that adventure into parenthood. Check out their past shoots with me… because they are GORGEOUS!

Daniel & Kim’s next adventure is parenthood!

This week baby Soto is due and we are all counting down the days for this bundle to arrive! I am so excited to get the call ” baby is here!” and head over for a newborn shoot!

Okay let’s talk photography for a second….These images surely are odd colors and muted tones because NO joke the sun was blood red and orange with the weirdest haze EVER!!!!! I have now discovered was actually do to a fire in California???? It was incredibly challenging to shoot these images and correct as much color tone post shoot. But hey, I love a good challenge!!!!

Thankfully Kim and Daniel love the gritty look and so all is well! I am actually pretty proud of myself to be able to shoot these as well as I did in such odd conditions.

So let’s get to enjoying the shoot and well wishes for mama this week as she is due!!!!
