Keeping Clients Safe A Desert Botanical Garden Family Photoshoot

Hello again friends! Thanks for stopping by. Today’s shoot is BEYOND adorable. Delia was so kind to give me feedback for todays blog feature.

“Well to start off, given all this covid madness, you made us feel extremely safe and comfortable. In addition to that, the way you connected with our little baby Celine was beyond amazing and impressive. I’ve never seen her smile and laugh so much with a camera pointed at her face!! You were able to bring out her lovable smile consistently 🙂

Delia’s review got me to thinking, that yes, families are probably nervous doing family photos during COVID, but alas we can’t stop life and our families keep growing bigger and bigger regardless of worldwide pandemic.

So as a photographer what can I do to help my clients feel safe?

1. We shoot mostly outdoors! For todays’ shoot we chose the desert botanical garden because they are being very careful and only allowing a certain amount of people in at a time. So I made reservations and there was hardly anyone else there! A private garden experience!
2. I wear my mask! I protect you so you can take yours off and smile. The hard thing about masks is that sometimes kids are freaked out and I’ve noticed I get a LOT of smiles because I’m so interactive with kids and I smile constantly when I’m shooting and kids smile when you smile. If they can’t see my smile it’s so hard. NOT the case with sweet Celine! She was so smily! I was able to wear my mask almost the entire shoot! A few times I took it off when I was far away to she could see my face like a normal human! haha.
3. I can totally photoshop fast mask lines off! haha Legit. People are getting scars. So don’t be scared! I got you!
4. We can reschedule if the date is too hot (we did this for todays shoot. No problem!) heading into the fall/winter season this won’t be as hard.

Kindness and love are on the top of my core values list. Not only as a human but as a business.

So whatever I can do to help clients feel safe and loved and cared for during their photography experience especially now during a time of so much uncertainty.
