Here I go trying to make the world a better place by not posting so many images on facebook! So here is another concise enjoyable blog post featuring the lovely Lauren & Matt’s engagement session.

I have actually known Matt for quite a few years since he is a member of Ilife the sister church- also the planting church-of Cornerstone (that’s the campus GCM church I was involved with for 11+ years!) I originally met Lauren through Ilife as well. I am more than honored to be apart of their upcoming wedding celebration this coming June. I really enjoy all the love, humor, and life that you can see in their relationship blooming through the lens & I’m sure the wedding day is going to be simply amazing and full of meaning.

Also enjoy Lauren’s super cute style. Take a tip from the perfect spring outfit choices for this session! I love the simplicity + added pattern combo. Please do think outside of what portraits use to mean (all white shirts+ all blue jean).  So when you are thinking “oh dear! what shall I wear for this shoot???” think about a few things.

1. Wear what you feel comfortable & good in!!!!!!!!!!! Not necessarily what you think someone else would want you to wear but something you REALLY like! Be yourself! I love you as yourself, your family loves you, your friends love you! Pick something that you like yourself in & it might be something you wear often. You should feel pretty (or handsome- if you are a man I suppose)

2. Be creative-& if you don’t think that way then maybe pull out the latest catalog of vogue or just the gap advertisement that came in the mail & take a tip from the full use of patterns combined together these days.

3. If you like everyone to match then think of a color scheme and use that in everyone’s outfit somehow. Matt & Lauren had blues carrying throughout both outfits & it tied it all together!
