Small world & kindness goes a long way! Kelley’s mother actually met me on a plane from Seattle to Illinois for a wedding I had to shoot last year. She was SO kind (unlike many others on a plane) and helped me handle my baby & my gear & my bags. We chatted & I gave her my card… and her daughter got married & they asked me to partake in the beautiful events!!!!!!! AMAZING. It’s was so incredibly beautiful! The weather was excellent & to me the cold was fantastic since i’m burning to death down here in Arizona… lol. What a breath of fresh air. Literally.
The wedding took place at this hidden gem in rural Petersburg Illinois. A beautiful farm called.. yup.. The Farm.. haha. Perfect gardens to provide shade for the portraits, lovely grounds to provide a ceremony site, and WHAT a barn! Meant for weddings & events it’s perfectly quaint & excellent for character. I really enjoyed it all so much!
One thing that stood out to me was the fun between Kelley & Matthew. I really liked how their relationship came out before the camera. Fun & emotional & silly. They were not afraid to be themselves & enjoy each other. That’s what I’m really looking to capture as a photojournalist.
One of the very best things about this wedding was all the emotion! He honestly cried to see his beautiful bride walk that isle.  She truly wept with joy for her groom. They shed tears when the dearest of friends gave an exhilarating & encouraging toast. Then there was the father daughter dance.!!!! They both let go to enjoy the moment. BEAUTIFUL LOVE. True. Sincere. Unquestionable Love between a father & daughter. I’m so blessed to get to be apart of these moments & to help them remember these emotion… forever.
Enjoy some of the memories with them!
