So being a photographer you would think that getting my own portraits done regularly would be a priority… but with all the moving around and ability to set up shop on a tripod and click away you suddenly realize that 3 years have gone by without a single actual shoot where you can just be free in front of the camera! It’s also incredibly hard to find a photographer that you love, feel really cares about you -and it’s such an emotional experience. You want to have these moments with someone you trust to capture great light, a flattering angle, and the personality of your family. So it was simply time to see Jamie again! Also I need to make it a priority in my life because it’s so much fun and such a treasure to have family photos together. It’s truly life giving and exciting.
My good friend Jamie and her hubby moved out to San Diego about 5 years ago to start a church. We love each others work but being across the country means few and far between portraits. So we had to be in Laguna Beach for a conference in 2013 and took some extra time to meet up with them on Coronado beach and do portraits! That was the last time we did official portraits, and my son was 8 months old and she only had 2 kiddos, the youngest just being a few months old. My son is now 4 years old and she has 3 littles with a 4th on the way! It was just time and since we now we live in Arizona so it’s just a 5-6 hour drive away. So for my 35th birthday, the only thing I wished for was portraits on Coronado with Jamie again.
Jamie took ours, I took hers, and it was the best birthday I’ve had since being a mom 🙂 Take a peek at her adorable family below and enjoy all the images she took for me on my personal pages. They are practically everywhere! Thank you so much Jamie, your family and soul are truly beautiful and you have an amazing home filled with life, love, and constant cuddles. Love you girl and can’t wait for the next visit.Â
