Tracy Battaglia Earns Acceptance into the WPJA
Tempe, Arizona – May 12th 2014 – Tracy Battaglia today announced her celebrated acceptance into the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA), an International, membership-based organization representing professional photographers skilled in the documentation of weddings and events in a candid, unobtrusive style. As a WPJA member, Battaglia joins the ranks of some of the most talented wedding photojournalists in the world as judged by their technical, creative and visual aptitude.
Battaglia will be held to strict membership standards regarding image quality and content, technical and creative technique, website and marketing professionalism, business ethics and communication. In turn, she gains prestigious affiliation with one of the industry’s top professional organizations. Battaglia can further gain admittance into quarterly competitions, where her work will be judged by some of the world’s most respected and accomplished award-winning photojournalists.
I’m so excited, proud and elated to earn membership acceptance into the Wedding Photojournalist Association,” exclaims Battaglia, owner of Fully Alive Photography. “To be held to the highest standards in my field, and to know that my work is among WPJA’s esteemed collection of professional wedding photojournalists is a huge accomplishment and honor.”
Battaglia offers engagement, boudoir, trash the dress, civil union and wedding coverage (as well as many family and portrait-based sessions) to clients throughout the greater Phoenix region, central Illinois, and world-wide destination wedding coverage on a case-by-case basis.
“Tracy is an amazing professional artist! My husband and I hired Tracy to photograph our (destination LA) wedding … years ago,” recalled client Kate Alvarez. “We’ve received compliments on our photos—not kidding—nearly every week since. It was natural to ask Tracy to photograph our newborn son as well as our first family photo. Tracy knew exactly how to work with a baby—as a mom herself she expertly calmed him and was able to mold his little body into perfect baby poses. Also she had a heated room ready for him, with white noise playing in the background—a perfect, calm setting. As a new mom, still overweight from the pregnancy, I was self conscious of how I would look in the family photos. Tracy knew how to coach me into a flattering position. I was thrilled with the results and felt gorgeous. Thank you again Tracy for documenting these uplifting life events!”
