This is a real treat! Another maternity/family shoot for you today. I first met Carlie & Ryan when they booked me for their wedding and engagement. Then I have had the honor of capturing the last few years of their lives and now a new baby on the way! I couldn’t be more excited for them.

I never knew that our relationship would grow into a mentorship and friendship, and I’m thrilled.

This last week Carlie took my crash course in small business operations, and photography workflows. I have so much information to pass on to artists starting a business. I hoped to help her skip some of the tears and frustrations I had as an artist starting out. Let’s just say the entrepreneur system is not intuitive! It’s confusing, overwhelming, and all together hopeless-if you don’t have the right tools. I hope everything I have passed on will resonate and help her take a giant step forward in a successful career in the arts without the glitches I had the past 10 years.

I am confident she will thrive because she is dedicated, personable, talented, and kind.  She is on a road to success. I am excited to follow her and this adventure she is on.
