I love Libby. I really do. If you know me at all, you know it’s true. She’s been one of my dearest closest friends for 14 years. She came into my life when I needed someone with depths of understanding and empathy. Someone that didn’t judge but openly accepted broken people. Someone ready to join my spiritual journey. She knows all my secrets, all my heartaches, all my past, and I hope the rest of my future. We are bosom friends that stand by each other through the good times and the bad. Kindred spirits you might say.
As such, I also LOVE her babies! I just love them like they were my own. They are beautiful girls inside and out and I hope they have long lives and turn into women who know themselves in and out and place their identity in God rather than what the world will tell them. We have been both traveling around the country for almost 10 years now so we rarely get to be in one another’s presence. So of course to celebrate her birthday, the wonder of these adorable growing girls, and our friendship -we snagged some portraits when I got to go for a short visit a few weeks ago.Â
So let me celebrate the way I do it best, through photography :)Â
Also as a reward for the girls wearing my selection and NOT matching for the shoot they got to pick what they wanted to wear for popsicles the next afternoon. Alas I present “Sisters & Popsicles”  Style & accessories by Miss Olive and Penelope.
I have been doing some of these neat sessions called “Mommy & Me”  and really loving the sweet moments I get to capture. I haven’t done one in a little while now  ( Check out Megan + Olivia’s Spur Crossing Shoot)  but I have some more on the horizon and I’m super excited to feature the amazing bond between mothers and their daughters!  I have “Just Me and My Dad”  upcoming too so keep an eye out.Â
And remember to let them be little 🙂
