I LOVE the Desert Botanical Gardens! I have been photographing landscapes, fine art, families, maternity, businesses, and beyond there for several years now. As a member, a preferred wedding vendor, and a photography instructor there, it was about time to shoot a wedding! It was gorgeous as expected. The Desert Botanical Garden is an amazing venue with beautiful desert landscapes and a wonderful staff to match.

I couldn’t have asked for a better couple for my first botanical garden wedding. Laura and Eddie were wonderful for being real in front of me and for letting their love show. They were able to let go and enjoy their special day. Even though they didn’t know me at all as we had just met on the wedding day, but they didn’t let that stop them from being themselves. They were so relaxed and in love as such allowing so much emotion and tenderness show through. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Regardless of the wind, this was the crazy day with 45+ mph gusts, the day was perfect. I did my best to arrange photos behind buildings, cacti, or trees to block as much as possible. Thankfully the garden has plenty of that so I think it all turned out AMAZING. The most important thing you can do on your wedding day is to be present with each other. You have to let everything go, the weather, the wind, the details. Laura and Eddie did, and this is what I was able to capture.
