Meant to Meet, a Multicultural Wedding At The Falls

” Mario and I met on the first day of our junior year of college. Mario had been at Grand Canyon University since his freshman year and I had just transferred to GCU from North Dakota. I moved to Arizona only knowing my brother and Grandpa out there. I had all the intentions of using this year to make new friends and adjust to this new place. When I was walking back from class with my roommate on our first day, we were approaching our apartment building on campus, when Mario and his roommate were just leaving to go to the gym. My roommate and Mario and his roommate were mutual friends and wanted to saw hello to each other to catch up on how their summers went.

Mario gave me a hug hello and it sounds silly, but it was the BEST hug I had ever received. From the moment I met Mario, I knew he was something special what’s crazy is that Mario says the same thing, he knew when he met me that we were going to be together.

Mario always says that we were meant to meet that day.

His roommate was running late and Mario was supposed to be at the gym much earlier. The evening we met, I ask my roommate to tell me about that Mario guy we had met earlier on. The next day, Mario had a class with my roommate and made sure he found a spot right next to her so that he could ask about me. My roommate, knowing I was interested in Mario too, invited Mario and his roommates over that evening! We hit it off and have been together ever since!”
