Audrey Hepburn Iconic Styled Studio Shoot
When too many people tell your mother that she resembles Audrey Hepburn, and she should have her portrait taken, then… you surprise her. Obviously!
It’s been so incredibly fun getting to know Olivia and her sister Sarah, and mother Robin. We planned and executed an entire Audrey Hepburn styled shoot this summer. To escape the 112 heat I rented out a studio in downtown Phoenix. I am so grateful to Kari (studio owner) for renting her space out and working with me with all the back and forth. And there was a LOT of back and forth. lol.
See, I just knew I had to have my friend Corinna Cooke do the ladies makeup because she’s incredibly talented and knew she would love the roles as much as I do. However, Corrina is also an Italian travel expert writing a book “How To Travel Italy” and has been in Italy the past month leading a group of women across the country on grand adventures. lol. So obviously there was a lot of juggling to find a good location and schedule between client, makeup artist in Italy, and studio owner. I am so grateful to all of them for being incredible and easy going in the process.
It was WELL worth the juggle because these images are so iconic and lovely. I don’t usually do studio work, mostly I’m an on-location creative lifestyle artist. So this was totally out of my norm, but not out of my comfort zone as I have an understanding of studios. So today will be the first studio shoot I’ve featured on my blog in over 8 years! WOW.
I just had to make this shoot happen because I LOVE Audrey.
Since a little girl, I’ve been enraptured by everything Audrey Hepburn did. I know it’s probably not everyone’s favorite, but I loved “My Fair Lady” the most. I still know every single word to each song by heart. It will forever remain my favorite movie of all time. So the second Olivia reached out to me, thank you, Esther, for that referral, I was fully in, no matter what it took! lol.
I really hope you enjoy today’s classic images and the flawless beauty of these ladies as much as I do.
If you are considering a throwback styled shoot let me know because I’m all in!
