I can’t help but enjoy my clever title “oh the places we’ll go”. I of course snagged this line from the Dr. Seuss book but it’s a perfect fit for this Laguna Beach Lifestyle Family Photoshoot.

This family is seriously adventurous and fun and I adore them.

Oh the places we’ll go indeed! They have lived in so many states and pursued difficult masters degrees at prestigious colleges; all while maintaining their marriage, friendships, a toddler, giving birth to twins, and so much more.

I met Erica years ago here in Arizona and we became close quickly.

She radiates kindness, empathy, and genuine beauty in every way. She is the kind of person you want to surround yourself with. I am so honored to call her friend.

Her and Sostenes moved to New York City a few years ago for Sostenes to complete his masters at Colombia. We stayed in touch and it’s been such a journey for them, more than I can really post in a short blog feature. Can you imagine just a glimpse of their life though? Moving, masters, a toddler AND twins!?? This family is so strong and vibrant and I love every moment of life they share with me. 

Now they have moved onto new places! I titled this blog post”oh the places we’ll go” from the dr sesuss book we read to our son about life and it’s adventures and how that no matter what life throws us we find a way through it.

We find a way to live fully and engage in life in a way that we show up every day. This is exactly what my dear friends are doing. Their newest adventure has moved them to Los Angeles from New York City and it just so happened that I had minis available in Laguna Beach just weeks after the move. So they came down for a shoot and dinner together. It was just a fabulous evening.

Also on a side note, it feels so wonderful to be valued, and you know you are valued most when your friends book you for their family photos over and over. Erica and Sostenes have valued me as a photographer and friend for years now and I’m thrilled to capture their lives. And let me tell you, their live have changed! Here is the last shoot from Arizona before the big move.
