Kitchen Renovation Reveal Lexi Grace Designs

So what happens when the designer designers for herself AND on a budget? Something awesome!

I’m so excited today to reveal April’s Kitchen renovation. April actually re-did the whole back half of her home. Full kitchen remodel, laundry room and guest bath! Talk about a project!

Today it’s my pleasure to present some fun images of all her hard work AND a little treat with an in home family lifestyle session to boot! Everyone is very excited about the new space. It’s truly amazing- She sent me before images too –

April has worked for Lexi Grace Design for nearly two years and loves serving her residential and commercial clients, creating spaces not only look beautiful but that that serve their needs, foster community, and create a place where people can be loved and known, as they say at LexiGrace Design. It was such an exciting transition to take on her own family as one of her clients! 

April and Eric moved into their dream home over four years ago, but one part of their home was decidedly NOT dreamy – their kitchen.

While they knew right away that a major renovation would be necessary, they took their time not only to save their pennies, but also live in the space and make design choices based on how the space would actually be used.  After several years and adding another baby to their family, they decided the time had come! 

Using her knowledge from a career in interior design, April set her plans in motion. Gutting the kitchen and dining room, moving a hallway wall, removing bulkheads and leveling the floors were just some of the items on the list. And since projects always bleed into other projects, they added the adjacent laundry room and powder room renovation in at the last moment! The entire goal was to create an ultra-functional space white still maintaining April’s desire for a tonal and textural space. A mix of metals and stone adds interest and depth, and kid friendly surfaces take away any hint of pretense. 

The resulting space perfectly suits their family. The open layout with multiple seating and dining areas gives April the ability to host at a moment’s notice, which she does quite often! Now the entire family is able to participate in cooking and baking together!
