Making The Most Out Of A Family Gathering A Holiday Season Photoshoot
It’s Christmas 2020. Well it’s Christmas eve today technically…And many of us can’t gather… but if you can… make the most of it! Hole up together in a beautiful home, put up the tree, turn on the holiday tunes, drink Starbucks, get your hair and makeup done, put on cute clothes and celebrate with a big family photoshoot while everyone is together!!!!!!
That’s what I’m here for-Capturing your family spirit and love for each other.
This family did exactly that.
Little back story. I met one of these beautiful girls (Caroline) last year at a mastermind and we instantly hit off a friendship, talked about life, motherhood, family, business and more.
We were instant friends. Caroline is so authentic and lovely inside and out. She was so encouraging when I shared about wanting to actually Launch my second business “Finding Joy Consulting” she challenged me to just do it and even made me promise a deadline. haha! as such, I hold my word so I got the ball rolling and then Covid struck and I completely and totally jumped into the deep end and launched the whole consulting, course, and website company! I am so grateful to friends that challenge you and hold you accountable!
So moving onto the photography story-Caroline reached out this spring about her family coming to town and wanting to book a large family shoot.
FYI-I love these styles of shoot and do at least 10 big gatherings of families each year. It’s essentially like a mini day just for your family. Each family gets it’s own little “mini” shoot and then we have break downs of group shots. We move around and do the same things in different light & spots. It’s really fun!
So in in the spring she had booked a shoot for her whole family gathering. THEN COVID STRUCK! We pushed it off in hopes of a safer winter, and we got lucky! Not everyone in the family got to be there but most were able and everyone was healthy and we had SO much fun shooting this gorgeous backdrop behind their family home. (oh and bonus- she said I could use this spot again if I have any takers! it’s REALLY gorgeous so just let me know!)
So if you are able to meet with your family this holiday season make the most of it and love on each other and cherish the moments.
All my love and Merry Christmas Eve
