First Birthday Bliss Why Capturing The Milestones Are Important

First birthdays are more than just smash cakes, confetti and balloons. They mark a pivotal moment and celebratory experience in a child’s growth and development. It’s such a big important milestone to capture. So much happens around hte one year mark. They are discovering words, they understand family, they are cruising and starting the walking journey! It’s crazy to think about how amazing ONE is!

But why are these milestones so crucial to document?

It’s about nostalgia. It’s about the feelings you will get when you look back at this moment in time. Children grow up faster than we can imagine, and having photographs to look back on helps parents remember the early days when their little ones were truly little and still had chunky little legs! These photos become a time machine, allowing families to revisit the joy, innocence, and wonder of the child’s baby days that are ending.

So happy birthday little guy! I’m so honored to capture this moment in time for you and your family!

And it was so wonderful to meet this family! This was my first time shooting for them and I couldn’t be more thrilled! They are warm and kind and the kids were SOOOO incredible at smiling and taking my creative direction! It was such an easy shoot capturing their love and sweetness.

And it’s also extra fun because my husband Nate is actually the one who met them! The mom works at state farm & on a call she was asking about photographers for her baby’s upcoming birthday and Nate said “my wife does that?”

YAY for Nate. Yay for new friends & yay for birthdays!
