Don’t Worry Be Happy A Scottsdale Wedding

As I walk into the bridal suite in the morning of a wedding day, I’m usually mentally prepared to carry stress. It’s usually a riot of activity & OMG I’m so behind. I’ve learned this juggle. I help my clients prepare and reset exceptions hundreds of times. I make my timelines with ROOM to breath and adjust. Because let’s be honest, not many people are great with time management, especially brides that have never gotten married before! That’s why I’m there.

But this wedding… different friends. Kaitlyn & Austin know how to “don’t worry, be happy” and just get married! lol. The room was calm, everyone was ahead of schedule and we navigated overcast & rain with ease!

Due to COVID, another couple has had to navigate the MAJOR stress and unknown of getting engaged and married with a worldwide pandemic. With all the changes and stress that comes with this.

And they did it with so much grace & style. They originally had planned to marry on the ASU west campus where they met, fell in love, and decided to become a happily ever after. ( We did pop by for their engagement session “HERE” ) But as covid struck and the world shut down restrictions made it impossible to get married there. So they were forced to consider alternate locations halfway to their wedding day already!

And they did. We chatted, we looked, they toured. And they mix-matched it together!

The couple chose to do the getting ready, portraits, and first look at the beautiful Scottsdale Resort At McCormick Ranch. That site is so lovely! Then they moved the part over to the McDowell Mountain Golf Club for an afternoon outdoor ceremony, sunset portraits, and reception. Except… it didn’t end up all outdoor due to RAIN!

Every step of the way this couple navigated disappointment & change. Because not only did they move venues multiple times, they dealt with a rainy wedding day! They were forced to make hard day of decisions to stay outside, move inside, what about Covid and spacing, what about the first dance under the stars? That didn’t happen for Kailyn and Austin. But yet they didn’t worry and they chose happy and this rainy scottsdale wedding day- was BEAUTIFUL and full of love, calm, and a spirit of joy.

I am so honored to present this wedding to my viewers. It goes to show that no matter the stress you can choose and find ways to let go, not worry and be happy, and at the end of the day you will be married!

And whoever said rainy weddings were not lucky or beautiful must be on crazy pills right?
