The Comfort of Home A Stress-Free Newborn Session

Hello friends! I’m so excited about today’s shoot! I get to introduce you to the newest Fully Alive client Baby Max! Welcome to the world little bundle of HEAVEN! Gosh I just love these newborn shoots. haha.
I thought today’s post I could talk a little bit about my newborn sessions and how I roll.
So I typically let my clients pick between a newborn session in their home, my home, or an alternate location. I’ve talked in other blogs about the advantages of most of these. But today I thought we could specific highlight the simplicity that newborn shoots could have from the comfort of your home!
The best part of an in-home shoot is that the parents can just let go. Can go out on a limb here and just say that MOST parents are SO overwhelmed, fatigued, and just plain exhausted that a newborn shoot sounds stresseful?
Yes, I know it does.
So let me help take the stress out and just come to you!
As long as you have some outdoor space that provides flat shaded light and some trees, or grass, or an adobe wall etc, and some great natural light coming in to a space in your home. I can pretty much make magic anywhere!
I am not judging you for your messy house, the barking dog, or anything else. I am HERE to make beautiful art for you of your precious work of art itself!
So please relax, let me come to your home, bring my props, walk around a bit, and settle in for babes shots 🙂
Also I thought todays shoot was a good example of just making it work..
See I typically offer newborn shoots only in the first 14 days of life. Mostly because after that baby usually is more wide awake… and alas at 16 days old Max decided to sleep during family time & stay totally away during his newborn shots! hahah.
But once again… it’s okay friends!!!!!!!!
You just roll with life when you have a baby.
Now does it matter that Max is awake, does it matter that we were in a corner of the home instead of a perfect studio? NO It doesn’t! What matters is that the parents felt comfortable, Max is healthy and still TOTALLY adorable in these shots, they can announce his arrival, they can have memories of how tiny his feet and hands were, and we created beautiful art in the comfort of their home!
So friends, at the end of the day – welcome baby Max! And stay tuned because his parent booked the year package, so you will get to see him next August as a adorable 1 year old!!!! Oh and if you missed their maternity shoot included in the first year package you can take a peek HERE:
