I’ve got Taylor Swift ” Are We Out Of The Woods Yet” on repeat in my brain for weeks now as I edit these amazing magical fairytale photos from Madison & Gastons Mogollon Rim Elopement/get-a-way shoot!!!!

I’m in heaven too! I’m SO in love with these photos. And gosh darn it I should be- they are amazing!

I am not only proud of myself but also so proud of Madison & Gaston for dealing with Covid stealing their perfect already planned wedding in 2020.

This couple booked me in 2018 for an October 2020 wedding at the Farm At South Mountain originally…

And then Covid struck and took down so many peoples dreams of a big wedding. So they had to make the call to push it to 2021… however as we all know Covid still didn’t calm down enough as time progressed and the new date got closer. They also had a surprise joy of a little baby girl show up like a beautiful wrecking ball in the plans. (Check out their maternity shoot HERE) And she was the best wrecking ball anyone ever met! So well worth it! haha. I’m completely obsessed with her sweet little face!!!!

So that all being said Madison and Gaston had many changes over the course of that 2 year stretch and decided to “elope” into the woods instead! They had me, 2 dresses, invites, favors, and an AMAZING florist already booked & paid for! So what is stop them from a fairytale get-a-way to thier favorite campgrounds in the forest of the Mogollon Rim????

NOTHING- but a good amount of planning and the unexpected windstorm of 2021. HAHA.

But seriously Madison, Skyla Of Moonchild Floral and I planned & plotted this shoot for months and months!

And when the day arrived to make the treck up past Strawberry Arizona, we were not totally prepared for the windstorm that just decided 60 MPH gusts would be fun while trying to shoot on the edge of a cliff with a giant magical 2 part set up of floral heaven! haha.

But we made the VERY most of it and with a little indecision decided to do the majority of the shoot in the woods and just move a few florals to the cliff right at sunset!

I am honestly impressed with myself for these images. Like beyond proud. It was FREEZING and deathly windy – I could hardly see on the rim and still these shots are beyond magical. Seriously, go ahead and scroll!

Smoke Bomb Safety/Repsonciblity NOTICE: The fire alert was low and the ground was actually wet when I did my flame free smoke bomb. No lighters were used. It’s a pull tab smoke release. I dug a hole in the wet ground and removed ALL leaves, branches etc out of it’s path AND we threw it in the garbage safely post shoot!

Okay friends. Enough said… let’s get to looking at this gorgeous elopement in the woods and loving every second of it!

COngrats Madison & Gaston for freezing thier butts off and making this dream a reality. I’m so proud of us all for making this magic happen!
