and somehow we already made it to 8 years old???? How did that even happen?

So todays blog post is mostly just about featuring her vibrant spirit but ALSO… the elephant in the room… the WIND. Yeah because there was a LOT of it during our shoot.

So we obviously can’t control the weather, so what do we do when the forecast shows sun and you show up to sand blowing in your face?????? Well, we make it fun. Hence lemonade….

So my friend Ali (mom) hates the wind. Like REALLY hates it. Me… I love it. So I proposed that we stay and make the most of it. We were already there on set, she had rushed around getting ready for the shoot and so it just made sense to give it a try.

And I am incredibly glad she dealt with her mortal enemy and stayed. Because I think these photos are epic! I am in love with how Amilia’s personality came out. She was laughing, running, splashing and playing and I was able to capture her sweet wild 8 year old spirit. This is exactly why I do what I do! So regardless of how the weather might turn on you, we are almost always able to make beautiful things.

Also… another fun fact about today’s shoot…

both of my assistants were unable to make the shoot last minute so instead I brought my youngest employee… my 10 year old son. And he took my behind the scenes videos for my reels and it was SO cute! Take a peek if you have a minute. He is wildly creative & he is great on kid shoots because as a kid- other kids love him!
